Gage Pulkrabek kicks off 2025 season at I-55 Raceway
Minnesota’s Gage Pulkrabek kicked off his 2025 racing season over the weekend with a determined showing at the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, as part of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series’ two-day Spring Classic.
Making his season debut on Friday night, Pulkrabek shook off the offseason dust in a competitive field, ultimately bowing out in the C Feature. Despite the early exit, the 16-year-old racer returned to the high-banked oval on Saturday with renewed pace.
Saturday’s program began with a tough qualifying run, which placed Pulkrabek in the D Feature. Needing a top-two finish to advance, he inched his way forward to secure the final transfer spot in the eight-lap shootout.
From there, Pulkrabek lined up deep in the C Feature grid. Undeterred, he put on a charge, slicing through the field and picking up seven positions in an impressive rally. Though his efforts came up short of a transfer to the B Feature, his seventh-place finish capped a weekend of steady improvement against a stout field.
